BASCOL was created by working parents concerned about access to licensed, quality child care available for school age children. The organization was first implemented in 1992 at only one site and has grown to 14 sites in five different school districts throughout Onondaga County and surrounding areas.

BASCOL provides stimulating before and after school child care throughout the school year, including times of the year when the school is closed. This includes school holidays, week-long breaks, snow days, school delays and half days.

BASCOL strives to meet each child’s unique needs and encourages growth, friendship and learning.

BASCOL allows children to have fun, enjoy friends, experience accomplishment, build a sense of self-worth and grow with the guidance of caring, qualified adults.

BASCOL is a family service with equal concern for the needs and well-being of both the child and his or her parents and guardians.
