•  At least one year experience working directly with school age children

• One or more years experience supervising adult staff

• Most have Bachelor's degrees in a child related field. 
  Others have 18, or more, college credit hours completed in
  a field directly relating to school age children.
  

• All site personnel are subject to rigorous background checks
  which include a criminal history review, fingerprinting and New York
  State clearance through the Office of Children and Family Services.
  

• All are Medical Administration certified

• All are CPR and First Aid certified

BASCOL holds an extensive orientation program for all professional staff during the first 90 days of employment. All are required to attend an additional 30 hours of professional training every two years in specific topics relating to their job responsibilities.
